My Herman Miller Aeron chair that I acquired during the 2000 dot com bust at auction is still my daily driver. Highly recommend.

Herman Miller Aeron all the way! I bought the gaming edition (marketing spin for the aeron with all the features), cost about $1400 USD iirc

OP, think about what percentage of your life you spend in various places (chair, bed, car) and invest accordingly, i.e. spend money on your bed and chair, these are life changing, low-cost investments

I recently bought my first stationary desk chair, I worked for 20+ years as a developer, retired now, I've always had chairs that roll and raise up and down, decided to try something different and I really love it.

I'm certain there are even nicer ones out there but this one is great. Super comfy for long hours (I still code, LLM and manually, a lot) and I like being able to lean it back.

Oh yeah I also got this foot rest to go with it under the desk, which was a good choice as well
