Show HN: Henge Days – When does sunlight directly hit the wall of a building? (hengedays.com)

I've been a photographer for decades, and for a long time I've wanted to make an app that will tell me when the sun's light will directly hit the/a surface of a building.

This weekend I found the time to build and launch a thing that does that. Features include:

  - Enter an address, get back a map with calendar details and some dataviz on when the sun is going to hit each wall

  - Save buildings, walls, and dates in a Planner, with a Calendar feed

  - Analyze the sun between two points along a street (currently limited to 5km along a single street)

  - Share links to what you've found
Sources used include: OpenStreetMap, Nominatim, Photon and the US Census Bureau geocoder. Sun positions come from the NOAA solar position algorithm, computed in-browser. Cloud forecasts from Open-Meteo.

I hope you find it useful, and welcome feedback!
