We build embedded firmware for cars. AI coding agents can now build and test a web app end to end, but in embedded they stop at the code, because running it needs a physical board.
We built the Chiplab because we wanted to bring that to embedded, so developers don't have to wait for a board, wait for a turn on the test setup, or dig through thousands of pages of datasheets.
Chiplab is an MCP server that gives your agent(Claude Code, Cursor, OpenCode, Codex and more) a virtual instance of a real microcontrollers. Your agent loads firmware onto a virtual copies of your target chips, runs it, reads the output and can run test suites in CI.
Currently Support STM32 and Nordic, C/C++ and Rust, bare-metal through Zephyr and FreeRTOS. UART only for now but more on the way!
