Ask HN: Any way to remove ads in Apple apps?

1 points by mark_l_watson ↗ HN
Apple has added notification red icons to the Apple Settings app to try to sell extended AppleCare. I find this annoying because there are their alerts in the Settings app that I immediately respond to. Any tricks to turn these off (without buying the service)?

I don't know about turning it off entirely, but I just did this after reading your post and I clicked the "not again" option and the whole thing went away.
If it's anything like the one to set up Siri/Apple-Wallet, click it as if to start the process, then bail out and it goes away.
