Survey: How do you create the video demo for your project or product?

Quick survey and share my pains in the meantime: - The audience has limited attention bandwidth, to present the product well in a short period of time is challenging. - To record a product demo requires to move the mouse quickly and often have to switch among various web pages or apps frequently, which is a real challenge with the time limit - Follow the script to operate the product while recording can include many backs and forth - It's difficult to explain well while operating the product with time limit - Putting together the recordings and BGM is another barrier

I have a MIT-licensed Claude plugin exactly for this:

https://github.com/mrieck/demoday-claude-plugin#top

Claude drives the app while recording, writes a script, generates a video with an AI avatar, cuts the video using Remotion. Tutorial videos, promo, listicle, I use it for all of those.

The only thing you need is your own Fal.ai api key. 1 min demos take Claude about 30 min to make, and cost $2-$3 in API costs.

Thanks for sharing the plugin! For Claude to drive the app, you allow it to use Chrome right i.e. claude-in-chrome extention? It takes longer than I would imagine to complete 1 min demo for 30 minutes. Is it token consumption heavy btw?
Pretty much all of the coding LLMs, Claude, ChatGPT, etc. can generate a product demo. I had Replit make my product demo. For a personal presentation, Loom allows you to edit your presentations wordings directly for that two minute video of yourself which you make from your computer monitor.
Interesting! Was Replit after the coding LLMs? Any advantage or Replit over them? Anything you'd like to have but not yet delivered by the current solutions?
Shockingly, I got Claude to create me a pretty great one (in the first hero section) https://arbi.gg

For so long I did struggle to get Claude to do this, but I solved for it by finding example promo videos that looked similar to what I wanted (which took some time), then asking Claude to describe what it saw in the videos (which also took some time) in order to make sure Claude was seeing what I was seeing.

A couple of rounds of this and it's 1st attempt at a promo video was actually 85% of the way there. The last 10%+ just took 2 or 3 rounds of prompts.

I use claude with remotion and ffmpeg to create final video.
Sounds cool! How easy to come out one with those three? And how much does it cost for the combo? BTW, is there a place to see the video? I'd like to have a look! Thank you!
Hi folks, thank you all for your kind comments! I thought the thread was gone w/o much attention. How did you find the thread, through new/threads/past here in HN or Google search or LLMs?
