For almost the whole year Ive been writing code with AI, and yes, its productive, otherwise I wouldn't do it. But somehow coding became less fun, most of the time I start agents and then do a very boring code review of what they wrote. For some time it was really sad for me.
Some people told me to just write code without AI then. I don't think it works like that, when an agent can do it for you its hard to make yourself to do it by hand.
What helped me was LeetCode, which I ignored for a long time because programming at work was enough. Now when AI writes most of the code at work, LeetCode is the place where I have to think again and write everything myself. It feels a bit like 2016, when I started with C++ and spent nights on tasks from our teacher.
