I really am more recommending this to the YC builders and dreamers of the present and future.

The best way to break out of the VC > scale > slop doom loop we find ourselves in and loving and complaining about is to predict where you will need to enshittify vs. subsidize and do it early on, as early as possible.

As a bonus, keep any money you save for yourself! You earned it.

You can't enshittify when you know it will be a friction for onboarding users. That's what makes it so appalling to existing users, that the product got worse after they committed to it.
