Even politics asides, this guy is not particularly bright. He was a net receiver of EU funds while actively sabotaging EU work. Guess what EU did in response?
The man himself (Orbán) said in 2018: "[UN secretaries are] Bureaucrats, some politicians who failed at home and parachuted into UN, desperately wishing to continue their politics."
FYI "parachuted" is a political slang for "incompetent persons appointed by higher ups abusing their authority", as in "dropped into position from above and must not be questioned why".
