Code.org's Excellent Beginner Programming Courses Get Lost in the AI Hype

I’m a computer science teacher. I recognize that AI can do useful programming. What worries me, however, is that all the hype surrounding AI is crowding out the learning of programming. "Prompting" is not programming.

I’ve often recommended Code.org, with its memorable name. Their "Introduction to Computer Science" courses are among the best beginner programming courses I know. But since the platform was rebranded as CodeAI, they’ve been getting lost amid all the AI-related content.
