Denmark's bid to ditch Microsoft Office for open-source alternative collapses (tomshardware.com)

Sounds like they had enough support to get a small-n trial off the ground ...but successful migration was never any sort of priority.

It amazes me if organizations are migrating from a closed source solution like Microsoft that they don't take that same budget and start supporting these projects with developers internally or funding externally.
