Nice project. What's the selling point over claude-code with mods? Pressing ctrl-g in claude already brings you to your $EDITOR and there are already a bunch of latex mods, e.g. https://mods.aidojo.si/mods/samox73--claude-code-latex--tex-.... I can see that the vim mode has some nice use cases. I imagine navigation is a lot easier? E.g. I really miss the ability to configure a shortcut to go to the prev/next prompt in claude-code.
Author here, thanks! The selling point is really compiled performance, no runtime, <50mb binary and self contained.

You can use the following to move to prev/next prompt: Alt+Shift+Up/Down or [u and ]u or you can customize it:

smelt.keymap.set("", "<C-Up>", function() return smelt.transcript.move_block("u", { forward = false }) end, { desc = "previous user message" })

smelt.keymap.set("", "<C-Down>", function() return smelt.transcript.move_block("u", { forward = true }) end, { desc = "next user message" })
