I'm surprised Claude doesn't cite well

30 docs in your Claude project. You ask a question, but it's impossible to verify.

Open the file, open the page, scan till you find it.

The same for websites. Agentic citation/research is tenuous and unreliable.

I'm working on a project to embed fast, reliable citations into all responses.

Does anyone know if this is already being done? Who's the best?

I am building a skill with which: 1. Claude adds a short url at the end of each phrase or sentence. 2. Clicking on that opens the webview panel and: 3a. For websites it scolls directly to the phrase being cited, with the text highlighted. 3b. For documents uploaded, it uses "sheaf.us" platform to show exactly the cell/value or phrase being cited.

4. This means that within 1.5s you will SEE exactly what the citation was linked to and verify or see the context.

Make sense?
