Well this is a fun rebuttal to questions like "Why would users ever need to know about the file system?" - turns out deleting from apps, and using phrases like "Delete from camera roll" don't actually delete the file.

It's presumably a hell of a shock to anyone that uses lockdown mode as well, thinking their iPhone is relatively sterile, with nothing for customs agents (or Cellebrite) to find.

Hope nobody took a photo of their ADHD medication (illegal in some countries), their Friday night CBD softgels (similarly illegal), or had a Trump-themed political meme that could absolutely raise the wrong eyebrows at a US border

The video doesn't actually show what the post describes. The whole post is also slop language. I feel like this is unsubstantiated bullshit. It might be real, but I highly doubt it.
This is funny because normally, I would think that you know maybe this is on purpose for political reasons, but given that it’s Apple, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was an explicit “oversight” to get people to buy more storage
The Twitter profile seems full of pretty absurd claims. Not my area of expertise, but I am highly skeptical of their posts.
