Have you found any Occam's Razor equivalents in your life?

For example, Musk has the idea that "The most entertaining outcome is the most likely." I have one to propose myself: "Individuals are resistant to giving up power only if it also results in a decreased level of perceived stature." This is largely informed by my time in DC trying to grapple with why so many in the legislative branch are seemingly quite happy to give up more and more power to the executive and realizing that I think much if not all of it can be explained by the fact that at least in the short term it has not had much of an impact on the perceived stature of the individuals (while not well liked by the general public, they are still invited lots of places, feted on international trips as dignitaries, lobbyists/business leaders fawn over them, etc.)

Don't invent complicated explanations for someone's behavior.

Someone being inconsiderate doesn't necessarily mean they're hostile.

Don't feel obligated to disprove every unsupported criticism.

Yes, everyone gets Occam’s Razor wrong and casually enjoys thinking they are right.

Be prudent with your ignorance before declaring simplicity a substitute for truth.

> Individuals are resistant to giving up power only if it also results in a decreased level of perceived stature

Wrong. Individuals give up power readily if offered comfortable convenience, if not “security”.

> perceived stature of the individuals

Oh yes, you mean “their pride”. Good point.

Their minds are being hobbled and their lives caught up in games.

Those directing their mass slothful migration do so through subtleties and misdirection.

No one wants to be found out immoral or incompetent, or they will burry your life and everyone you love under a shit ton mountain high of bullshit.

And that’s grade A American bred bullshit. The finest.

Good luck soldier. Simplicity is not the answer, integrity principle and devotion may get you through.
