New Horizons found around 130 hydrogen atoms per liter of space
but it can be very cold or very hot.
This process keeps the cloud at a steady temperature near 8,000 kelvins.
So, does this mean if I were in one of the hot areas I would instantly burn away? Or is there so little heat in the 130 atoms / liter that I would be ok (ignoring the other million other problems with me being in open space)? What does it mean to be hot or cold out in space?
