Guess they realized that harnessing the power of facebook and reddit goes a lot further than they thought... social media fail?
I have yet to see a petition taken seriously and obtain results. Im not American, but this seems just like lip service. Correct me if im wrong.
Interesting you ask this, since an example was provided on the Kojo Nnamdi show today. two petitions regarding SOPA forced the White House to publicly state a position on the issue, something it had been unwilling to do up until then. That forced hand had a significant impact in torpedoing the legislation.
