Fastest Filesystems for Database work (symas.com)

Your choice of filesystem makes a big difference. We tested 14 FS configurations with 5 embedded database engines. The results ... none of these new journaling filesystems are worthy for these workloads, EXT2 creams them all (with one notable exception).
