Might be in sf this summer, I want as much experience as possible

Hey everyone,

I'm an international student, going to college at Georgia Tech. I've currently got an internship in NY for this summer, but due to the ridiculous bureaucracy of the US government, I may not be able to take it. If I can't, I'll probably be in San Francisco this summer, working on a startup with a friend. We also really want to go around and check out different startups in the area. Can anyone give me tips on finding cool startups to work for and hang out with?

Just go to The Creamery http://goo.gl/maps/VT42V you will see lots of startups.

There are so many things you can do to get exposure and experience. Like andrewwhillman mentioned, spending time at local hotspots is a good starting point, but there are so many more things to do. Ping me via email (in my profile) and I would be more than happy to give you additional ideas. I've lived in Palo Alto, San Mateo and spend a significant amount of time in SF. Best of luck.
