Did google fail to QA?

Google announced the wonderful new Google Photos app that does a decent job at analyzing your photos and allowing you to search for things.

While that's pretty cool, I managed to crash the beast by searching for the word 'photos' or 'pictures'. Here, try it out for yourself -
