Help build Userfox
our vision isn't "disruption" nor "changing the world", it's building a massive profitable company that cares about design.
this is what motivates us: https://twitter.com/nbashaw/status/328966012366114816
we're looking for an engineer, ideally with experience in mongohq, backbone.js and rails. but we know smart people can pick this up - we did.
our javascript snippet sits in the footer of hundreds of websites, track millions of page views a day, gathering user data for our clients. there are significant engineering, design and marketing problems to solve.
consider this: unlike almost every other website – we musn't ship bugs – if we do, emails go out and we cannot undo that. the stakes are high.
everyone has an engineering background. the youngest person in the company, is me, pclark – i'm 26. our CTO has been coding for a decade, and our designer has a degree in computer science in addition to designing the beautiful userfox site you see today. we also almost always have dogs in the office, Charlie and/or Bella.
Bjoern @Zinssmeister, our designer, joined userfox because he wanted to help shape the future of a young company. his code goes out live each day to millions of users. his feedback has driven the product forward and helped define our engineering culture and product roadmap.
we use hipchat to communicate, heroku to deploy, and are fans of the tempest bar in SOMA. we have a significant benefit package, including working without a manager, debates about everything from dating to ui design, freedom to work on whatever you find interesting, and a cooler that dispenses both cold and room temperature water.
