Poll: Would You Trust a Self-Driving Car?

Please add "I would trust it more than a human driver".

Edit: Under normal conditions, please. We know at this point that it's unreliable in snow and possibly bad rain.

Is there a datasheet?

Reliable body of experiments backing up its effectiveness, utility, and safety?

Do we get to look under the hood of the technology that runs it?

Without sufficient information, it's impossible to answer the question with confidence.

Since I am making one, I would have to go with the last option. (Caveated, of course, on which specific self-driving car it was).

If I have choice, I trust ONLY a self-driving car.

Oh, one condition: it's does not have windows or android as OS. No, I'm not apple fanboy :o)

For any road that has a mix of self-driving cars and human driving cars, there are too many variables. Then you have to take into consideration how these are insured in case of an accident.
