Justin.tv hiring for new lead programmer

We're rebooting development on Justin.tv, and if you're a great programmer who wants to take ownership and mold a large and complex system you're the one we want. As Twitch, our sister site, has grown and split away from Justin.tv on the technical side a gap has opened up to grow the Justin.tv product.

This is a hands-on position. We expect you to lead by example as a programmer, in addition to being comfortable acting as technical lead and helping recruit new members of the team.

You will work in collaboration with our existing developers working on the shared services that power both Justin.tv and Twitch, and help define the future of a live video empire.

Responsibilities:

- Design and build scalable web services and other server-side systems

- Work with designers to build great web frontend code

- Grow an engineering team from scratch to 7 developers

- Contribute to the roadmap for new features and products

- Report directly to General Manager of the Justin.tv product

Requirements:

- Computer science degree or similar experience

- Experience as an engineering team lead

- Experience hiring engineers

- 4+ years of software development experience for the web

- Experience working on advertising integrations a plus

- Experience working on mobile app development a plus

- Experience with specific technologies currently in use a plus: Django, Rails (yes, both, it's a long story), PostgreSQL, Memcached, Javascript, jQuery, Actionscript, ObjC, Java (Android)
