About the position:

As the first full-time visual designer at MobileWorks, you’ll have a big influence on how MobileWorks looks, feels, and operates. You’ll partner with the product and engineering team to influence the product: the visual design and UI of our crowdsourcing platform, the look and feel of our customer facing website, and the design of our marketing materials including emails, landing pages, swag, and more. We offer significant autonomy, responsibility and ownership. We’re going to throw you into the fire and it’ll be great.

About you:

You have a passion for clean, modern visual design and creating engaging customer experiences. You are ready to be the steward of the company’s visual identity. You love the idea of being a part of a business that does good in the world. You’re comfortable wearing a variety of hats to solve problems as needed, and you love working in a fast-paced startup.

It might be a match if you:

* 2-3 years of experience designing real products for the Web

* Comfortable working with HTML and CSS

* Strong, clean, innovative, visual design sense and a vigilant attention to detail.

* Image compression best practices

* Full knowledge of Adobe CS

* Information design skills

Bonus points if you have:

* Able to produce production-ready html and css

* Comfortable with javascript

* Icon or illustration work

* Experience designing for mobile devices

* Previous startup experience
