Hacker news account lost?

I'm having trouble logging into my regular hacker news account (Tacomanator). I'm not sure, but I think it may have been caused by a failed attempt to merge the account with my OpenID. I don't remember changing the password yet it's not accepting it, and there appears to be no way to reset the password unless you are able to log into the account. Is it possible to fix this? Thanks!
