Mattermark (YC S12) hiring Senior Engineer

Mattermark is changing the game for venture capitalists by providing broadly accessible data on 160,000 startups. Our tools quantify the growth signals of private companies to help investors uncover who is on the rise, and close deals faster with greater confidence.

We’re hiring a Senior Engineer to build the early, key pieces of the service. Mattermark is driven to uncover all the information investors need to find startups they want to invest in. As a Senior Engineer at Mattermark you will build tools for collecting new data signals, architect storage of a service that grows by over a million rows every week and build an interface used by the best VCs and Angel investors. To be successful, you need to be great at coming up with creative ways to bring structure and organization to unstructured data.

Requirements:

- 5 years of software development experience

- Highly skilled at PHP and MySQL, experience with document oriented storage such as MongoDB is a plus

- Frontend experience JavaScript, experience with Backbone or Ember is a plus
