jokes aside, where is the backstory? Not that this is news but it 'ould be an interesting story and experience dealing with difficult customers which i dont actually have to deal with is always welcome.
Simple but effective way to get the owner to pay up. Although I remember seeing this on reddit a week or two back, so maybe not that effective?
Just out of curiosity what are the legal ramifications of doing this? Could it be considered defacing the site and some how fall under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, or since the owner never payed/didn't pay the full amount is the site still the property of the dev?
