Ask HN: What is your experience in music production?

I started music production about half a year ago. An fell in love with it instantly, I think I come a long way since then, and currently tinkering with a fellow hacker on starting an audio related website.

However, I am still growing and getting better, but what is your experience with music production/audio engineering — or being an artist for that matter.
