Ask HN: What's the state of the Arc language?

What's the state of the Arc language? Is it stable? Mature? Actively maintained? Suitable for casual every day stuff? System automation and scripting?

I'd love to start using it and getting familiar, it just isn't worth the investment if it's going to fizzle out and die.
