Ask HN: What happened to feed autodiscovery links? Is the concept/practice dead?
I was just reading some of PG's articles and realized he doesn't have a proper feed, let alone auto-discovery links in <head> section. The feed for the 'essays' section is just a compilation of title and links to the essays - nothing else, especially pubDate.
I've seen this trend come up time and again in the recent past. It is almost as if no one wants to associate themselves/their blogs with RSS/Atom/XML feeds anymore. Make no mistake, they'll still publish a feed but they won't make it all that easy to discover by automated means.
What happened? Did I miss a memo or something?
