I'd like to remind everyone that this graph covers only the financial cost associated with running a startup in different locations. Keep in mind that the "quality" of the engineers is not taken into account, as an engineer trained let's say, in Philippines, might not be as productive/ingenious as one educated in Germany.

At this end of the day, you get what you paid for.

Any ideas about the cost in Austin, TX. And what about Thailand?
80k for a developer in SF? I don't know how accurate that is right now
For an initial stage startup for a mid-level person it actually doesnt sound incredibly off when leaving out equity although it is perhaps on the lower side.
