Do you have stories about how you hacked the news too?
at TOMODO.com, few months ago when Jeff Bezos bought The Washington Post we have created Mod that called "The Amazon Post" (amazonpost.tomodo.me), ppl laughed and shared the Mod all over the web.
At Enigma.io, we created this dashboard/data graphic showing who is affected by the current gov't shutdown[0]. It's been a really effective way to get our name out there a bit and show off the kind of work we can do with our data :)

I'm sure this was a pretty good talk, if you were at it. The slideshow itself is quite content-low (which is fine!), so I'm not getting a lot from this. Does anybody have a link to a video to go with this deck perhaps, or even audio?
It was not recorded unfortunately. Happy to tell you more over a beer if you ever come to Paris :)
I'm currently looking into coming to dotJS, somehow - so if I do, I'll let you know :)
I've never understood this whole "slide-deck as self-contained usable content" thing. A big no-no of presentation design is putting too much content on a slide, so online slides without any context is little more than a tease.

Having said that, seems like a really interesting presentation! Maybe the author would be willing to put together a blog post or a video?
