Mid NYC Hack day. This is mildly inconvenient...
Rails Rumble weekend. Inconvenient for us too.
Surely this isn't a huge issue due to the decentralised nature of git? Just set up a box/VPS with SSH access and add everyone's public keys to it?

Does Github need to be the second Twitter ? ( i mean replace Ruby with Scala ).
I don't follow this too closely but a lot of the times they go down it's just to a malicious DDOS not just regular heavy traffic - would switching help?
