HN readers tend to make above average salaries and there are always stories of 20 somethings selling to Facebook for tens of millions. I'd like to find out what percentage of HN readers are actually millionaires.

Hah, I wish. I'm barely in the $100K group. Soon, though. Soon. evil smirk >:)
Between mortgage and student loans I am much less than zero. I wonder how common that demographic is.
I don't personally know very many recent graduates who have broken even on their education yet. I suspect many of them (including myself) will be in the red for the better part of a decade.
"will be in the red for the better part of a decade" - right in time for getting a mortgage :(.
Man I wish it would only be a decade.
I'm a tenthousandaire. Is it close enough? What's with the question?
He is checking if we are generally cool enough to hang out with.
I'm curious to know a) if being smart and making a good salary translates to wealth and b) how seriously I should take stories about overnight success. Are they outliers?
How many have made >250K on real estate?
Made a little more than that when I was 20, I ve been investing in R.E. since I was 18 with a few olders guys with deeper pockets at the time. Now I am solo and Kill'n it :)
