Ask HN: why was my front page submission suddenly removed?

I made a submission and within 20 minutes it was raising to almost 10th spot on the front page. Then suddenly it disappeared. Was I violating any guidelines?

There could actually be a concern that your site is not legal to promote in the US since it involves gambling.
