Director of Engineering - Booster

Booster, the new online awareness and fundraising platform, is looking for a wildly talented Director of Engineering who combines strategic thinking with detail-oriented execution in a fast-paced, dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. As a key member of the Booster team your work will contribute to scaling an existing platform that inspires and enables people to raise money and awareness for their passions and causes with custom merchandise. Backed by our parent sponsor - a profitable, fast growing, top 200 e-tailer, and top places to work employer - we expect to grow rapidly. Our MVP has done well. But now, we need you to help build the next version and fill out the vision. We’re on CoffeeScript, Rails, Jenkins, Capistrano, New Relic and deploy multiple times a day. Everyone pushes to production supported by a clean stack and a solid process. You will be responsible for communicating the vision and plan for your roadmap across Booster.

Qualifications • Demonstrated success leading one or more software development teams in Agile development environments, with a deep understanding of how to build the right processes for different environments. • Experience as a technical manager or engineer with large scale, highly available, consumer focused web sites • Solid experience acting as a 'full-stack' engineer, capable of delivering operations-friendly solutions from server to browser. • Knowledge of at least a 2 programming languages in detail, multiple frameworks, and have built substantial sections of a web/mobile application • Direct experience with the following; Ruby on Rails, PHP, Apache, Java, Javascript, jQuery, HTML, SQL, CoffeeScript, Jenkins, Capistrano, New Relic.
