I am not surprised at all. Same thing happened when I was away on vacation for three weeks. It definitely refreshes your mind. You start to realize on what to focus really focus on.

Thank God there's HackerNews, that way I don't have to spend my time browsing through 10 different blogs. Instead I rely that HN will deliver the best news value :).
