Dear HN: Smart App Banners are Annoying

So this trend started out as a high-end bookmarklet tool for marketers. But like all marketing, has developed in to full blown AIDS.

Every website I open in mobile safari almost, I have to scroll down 2 inches (hit close but why bother it just pops up no matter what.) "DOWNLOAD THE APP" Oh cool, but what if I don't want your app?
