That is a pretty awesome. I wonder if you could sell one with the design "I am the man in the middle." for NSA agents.

I must be dumb. I don't get what "and removed it" mean. Someone care to explain?

SSL needs to be stripped from the stream at the end point to allow the application to process the data received. If the endpoint is a human reader, there's no way to man-in-the-middle the message.
