Ask HN: do hacker engage in Black Friday?

Or you guys think that it's a big waste of time? Is bargain hunting that important or is the opportunity cost of time not worth it?

I would really like to know how hackers think and prepare for holiday shopping season (some of you guys must buy presents; is it all done at amazon or you guys like other sites?)
