Ask HN: Visiting San Franscisco

Hi everyone!

I'm going to be in the bay area approximately January 3rd to January 12th. I'm currently a grad student at CMU, and I'd love to meet up with some people and grab some coffee or something.

Also - any recommendations on where to stay? I've heard some pretty awesome things about the co-ops that have been forming, but I have no idea who to talk to about visiting.
