Disqus security hole links racist comments to politicians (itworld.com)

Racist and offensive comments left on far-right Swedish message boards have been traced back to prominent members of the Swedish Democrats, an anti-immigrant party with 20 seats in Sweden's legislature. Although the politicians weren't posting under their own name, the Swedish newspaper Expressen was able to suss out the posters' identities via a flaw in Disqus, the third-party commenting service used by many blogs. Disqus fetches Gravatars using a hashed version of the poster's email address, which the investigators were able to extract.
