My plan with gittip was to work up a steady stream of passive cash to then distribute amongst indexed donation sites via some simple Python scripting, API calls and web scraping.

I think we'd all be much better off, even in ourselves, if Facebook were a social donation network. Does FB make it possible to choose a recipient, like an organization that is in the business of relief/aid, after you pay for the Pinned Post feature?
