Ask HN: Google Groups Message Exporter?

I belong to several Google Groups, and would like to keep a backup archive. It seems Google hasn't made it easy to export data, and it's become even tougher since they switched to an AJAX interface.

Is there any service that does this? If possible I'd like to avoid building the regex and scraper myself.
