HN: I gave away my life savings to start an open-source project (unobtanium.io)

My initial plan was to distribute my shares 50/50 half to myself and half to the dev team. It is an experiment in open source to see if it a possible to function as a stock. I believe that if we can create valuebal services and keep the devs interested it will pay off.

Do you guys think I will succeed, or am I absolutely out of my mind?
