Balanced is looking for infrastructure/system engineers

We're working on some really cool things at Balanced, most of which is completely open source. We process hundreds of millions of dollars [1] per year, so we're looking for strong candidates who have a passion for building robust automation pipelines, tools, and fixing making [2] as we strive to maintain our excellent uptimes [3].

We primarily use Chef and heavily invested in it. We hired one of Chef's core engineers [4] to do just that.

We're an open company [5], so we don't want other people or companies to rebuild all of this again. We started an open project, called Poise [6], that is meant at making elegant operations.

Right now, we're 10 engineers [7] looking for smart, dedicated, and self-motivated individuals to come help us hack on infrastructure to help reinvent automation and tooling as an example to other companies for building highly-available, zero-downtime systems.

If you're interested, shoot us an email with why we'd consider you and impress us some how: jobs+infra@balancedpayments.com

Remote is OK, but you must be able to work in the US.
