Wow, the goings-on discussed in the blog post are pretty terrible. How could people (who I assume are above HS age) have such a low level of empathy/social awareness?

Look, this isn't normal or typical behavior, and it doesn't represent how men in tech act towards women in tech. The guy was an asshole. The nature of the event is irrelevant.
