On a side note, it's always curious to me how some threads get "picked up" and others don't, even if they're the exact same material. I wonder why that is.
The "new" page moves really fast. Usually the first page only shows stories that are < 30 min old. So several people have to check the new page, read your article, and upvote it in 30 minutes (not many people go past the first page).
How do duplicate threads sneak through the system?
The other URL ends in a slash (yeah, that's actually all it takes to "beat" the system).
No, this URL points to the /international page to which non-US(?) users are automatically redirected. The other one is the root URL.
