Segment.io is looking for a lead platform engineer

Segment.io lets companies integrate with over a hundred analytics tools with the flick of a switch, and we've only just started. We're looking for an engineer who is extremely organized, who loves talking to customers, and who is interested in managing all of the integrations on our platform.

We add over five new integrations a week, and we don't see that slowing down any time soon. We form partnerships with almost all of the companies we integrate with, so that we can streamline the entire process for our customers. The awesome part is that as soon as a new integration is released, every user on all of our platforms has access to it immediately!

This is the perfect position for someone who is technical, but wants to stay close to the product and customers at a fast-moving startup. You have a knack for staying organized, getting things done, and are interested in managing the technical side of our partnerships with some big name companies. You enjoy not only pushing new code, but also checking in with and helping customers who get stuck using your new features.

You'd be in charge of the technical side all of our integration partnerships, from initial contact, to merging pull requests in our open-source libraries, to meeting with the higher-ups at tons of big companies, to helping enterprise customers integrate new features, to helping automate the integrations pipeline with code.

Not only that, but we've also got a few game-changing secret projects that are going to make getting up and running with analytics tools much faster and we want your help! We're pretty excited about that one.

You'd be joining a team of talented engineers that are in love with open-source[1], and who care deeply about their users and partners, and are focused on always making the right decision for the customer.
