What The Sleep Habits of Famous Writers Reveal About Their Productivity (fastcompany.com) 11 points by angelohuang 12y ago ↗ HN
[–] umjames 12y ago ↗ Would love to see this for notable programmers. Don't know if the data is available for their wake-up times.Would also love to see how many of these writers/programmers took naps during the day, at what time, and for how long.
[–] socrates1998 12y ago ↗ This is interesting, but generally meaningless.Studying successful people doesn't reveal secrets. It's the problem of induction. There are probably tons of unsuccessful writers that have similar habits and write a ton of horrible writing. [–] Nursie 12y ago ↗ This sort of article also seems to pander to a certain sort of personal control-freakery - "if I just change this one more thing about myself, then I'll be truly successful!"
