HN multi feed idea (blue ribbon / fun)

I love HN. It is addictive. But this is also a problem.

For the next week I decided to unplug from everywhere and focus on some math/python texts I want to rip thru. But I will miss all the good posts. (who has time to always keep up with the constant torrent of posts anyway?)

I had the idea.. why not (keep the existing main "fun feed" as is, unchanged!) and make a new "blue ribbon feed" which has just the filtered top/important stories (eg Whats app buy out, new version of python coming out, big math discovery etc...) and (no: look at my flappy bird clone, zuckerburg had a haircut, etc...)

What do you guys think?
